Food Assistance Programs

Food assistance programs are provided through your state and local agencies, such as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) or TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program).

Finding Food:
Pantries

Food pantries provide food to families in need with NO cost.
Families can find local food pantries through national organizations like Feeding America and FoodFinder, or by calling 211 in your area.
These organizations connect you to a network of local food banks and pantries that can provide food assistance.
Finding a Nutritionist or Registered Dietician

A Registered Dieticiaan (RD) is a nutrition expert who advises people about healthy eating and meal planning.
Also known by the titles RD, RDN, or Nutritionist.
To become an RD or RDN, a person must be certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and must pass an exam.
